Get ready to explore a new era of leisure travel with a vehicle built for both relaxation and exploration!
Expanding Cabin
The Chery Journeo concept is a marvel of modern design, offering an expansive cabin that adapts to your needs. The standout feature? A slide-out glass pod at the rear that extends the interior space by an impressive 150cm, creating a lounge-like environment perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure.
When you’re ready to enjoy the outdoors, the van’s deployable kitchen ensures you’re prepared for picnics or even overnight camping trips. This concept includes a modular front box that can transform into a bench seat, kitchen, braai stand, or additional storage.
Versatile Interior
Inside, the Chery Journeo continues to impress. Designed with comfort and flexibility, the modular lounge-inspired cabin features four seats, two of which swivel 180º to face the rear.
The rear bench seat, which offers a sofa-like design, can transform into a small day bed by simply adjusting the backrests, creating a relaxing space to unwind and enjoy the scenic views.
Additional customisation is possible with removable door inserts that double as cushions, allowing for more seating options both inside and outside the vehicle.
The panoramic glass roof adds to the luxurious atmosphere, providing unobstructed views of the surroundings, making the Journeo the ultimate mobile lounge.
Power and Performance
The Chery Journeo is powered by the Kunpeng Super Performance Electric Hybrid C-DM system, which combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor. This hybrid powertrain enables a remarkable range of up to 2500km, making the vehicle well-suited for long-distance travel and off-road adventures.
Designed for a variety of terrains, the Journeo features height-adjustable air suspension and airless tyres, ensuring smooth rides whether you’re navigating paved roads or rugged trails.
The vehicle is also equipped with front and rear skid plates, a U-turn capability, and special modes like crab-walk and sand escape to handle any challenging landscape.
Sustainable and Eco-Friendly
Chery’s commitment to sustainability shines through with the solar panels integrated into the roof rack. These panels are retractable for easy driving, but when you stop to camp, they unfold petal-style, providing additional power for your appliances.
The use of eco-friendly materials and the vehicle’s energy-efficient design reflect Chery’s vision for a greener future.
The Future of Leisure and Adventure
Though Chery has not confirmed whether the Journeo concept will go into production, this visionary vehicle showcases the company’s ambition to redefine adventure and leisure travel.
