Three Brilliant SUVs – Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, 7 Pro And 8 Pro
Chery has formally entered the South African market with the brilliant Chery Tiggo SUVs and they have been selling like hot cakes. Yet, each of the three cars – the Tiggo 4 Pro, 7 Pro and 8 Pro are clearly different cars aimed at different buyers. We spoke to a few buyers to find out why they chose the particular Tiggo they bought.
This is just a quick sample of buyers, and for each of these cars, there were buyers who bought them for different reasons. For example, we feature a mother of three, a homemaker with a part-time job, who bought the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, but there were young professionals who wanted a sharp-looking, full-features compact SUV and even a couple of retirees among those we interviewed.

Lindi is a homemaker with three children in primary school and the school and sports runs take up the major part of her day. She also has a part-time job making and selling pottery to retail outlets in her area.
Her primary reason for buying the Tiggo 4 Pro was safety. “I am constantly driving from here to there with my kids and their friends, and I want them to be safe. I like the idea that my Tiggo is made from super safe steel that can deal with any accident, and the fact that it has all these airbags and anti-skid brakes and so on.”
She also likes the CVT which means she can just drive and not worry about changing gears, as well as the car’s compact size which makes it easy to park. The Tiggo 4’s surprisingly large boot also allows her to pack her bulky pottery for deliveries to her customers.

Shane is a young IT professional, single, likes to party and hang out with friends. He chose the Tiggo 7 because it is ‘such a hot looking car’ and his friends prefer to go in his car when they go out.
The Tiggo 7 is also a very professional-looking car – client look at your ride when you visit and the 7 certainly impresses them.
Shane bought the Executive trim Tiggo 7, because he loves the powered panoramic sunroof, a massive 1.13m2 one-touch on-off view of the sky.
