Major Range Upgrade For The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro

Popular Compact SUV Chery Tiggo 4 Pro Range Gets Update

It has been less than a year since the explosive launch of the sub-compact Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and while its reception has been astonishing, Chery fans have asked for specific upgrades. Ever nimble Chery South Africa has listened and made significant upgrades to the range.

The 2022 Chery Tiggo 4 Pro models see noticeable upgrades to the Urban, Comfort and Elite SE trim levels, including several luxury and safety features.

The entry-level Urban and Comfort models increased their airbags from two to six and added a new-generation seatbelt tensioner in the front. An onboard tyre-pressure monitor is now also standard.

The cloth upholstery in these two models has been replaced with synthetic vegan leather and the driver’s seat can now be adjusted six ways manually. The 10.25-inch touch-screen gets voice command as well. When you press the remote locking button a bit longer, it will close any open windows.

The top trim Tiggo 4 Pro – Elite SE still has all the luxury features as before but adds the full array of Advanced Driver Assist Systems usually only found in more upmarket European markets.

These include radar guidance features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Warning, Lane Departure and Lane Keeping. It also has a 360-degree around-view camera for better parking and greater safety.

The Urban and Comfort is still powered by the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol that gives you 85kW and 141 Nm. The Urban has a five-speed manual, while the Comfort gives you CVT comfort.

The top-range Elite and Elite SE have turbo versions of the same engine, giving you 108kW and 210 Nm, and you can choose a six-speed manual or CVT.
