The New Chery Tiggo 4 Pro LiT Is Almost Here!
We’re thrilled about the latest good news from Chery – that a version of the Tiggo 4 Pro under R300,000 will soon be available so you can now have your cake and eat it too! Chery introduced the new entry-level version of the ever-popular Tiggo 4 Pro, the Tiggo 4 Pro 1.5 LiT, at the Kyalami Festival of Motoring recently.
It comes in three variations: the Tiggo 4 Pro 1.5 LiT, Tiggo 4 Pro 1.5 Urban and Tiggo 4 Pro 1.5 LiT Comfort CVT, with the base model being less than R300,000.
The LiT model is based on the updated Tiggo 4 Pro that launched in South Africa in September last year. The main difference between the original Tiggo 4 Pro and LiT is that the latter is powered by a normally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine developing 83kW/138Nm. The higher-spec Tiggo 4s are fitted with a turbocharged version, good for 108kW and 210Nm. The base model LiT comes fitted with a five-speed manual gearbox only, while the LiT Comfort gets a CVT as the sole transmission option.
The LiT also has fewer specifications, dropping some non-essential items like the voice recognition system and vegan leather upholstery and only one essential feature with the airbag count being reduced.
The latest budget version of the Tiggo still boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four speakers, LED daytime running lights, a 3.5-inch TFT instrument cluster display, as well as a long list of standard features, which are rather impressive.
The Tiggo 4 Pro LiT comes with rear air-conditioning vents; 16-inch alloy wheels; roof rails; height adjustable multi-function steering wheel; keyless entry; auto lock/unlock doors; heated and electric mirrors; push-button start; rear parking sensors; tyre pressure monitor; reverse camera; traction control; all around electric windows; ABS with EBD; Hill Start Assist; Electronic Stability Programme; and Rollover Stability Control.
The bonus is that both the LiT and LiT Comfort include a five-year/100,000 km warranty, a three-year/30,000 km service plan and a 10-year/1,000,000 km engine warranty.
