Chery SA has a lot to celebrate these days. Not only have they managed to become one of the top 10 best-selling vehicle brands in South Africa since their re-entry into the market in 2021, but they have now hit a milestone of 20 000 unit sales locally!
“We have repeatedly said that every sale to a customer is an endorsement of our vehicles, their quality and our customer service and support,” says Tony Liu, Executive Deputy General Manager of Chery South Africa.
“For this very reason, we do not take this milestone lightly, we aim to celebrate it with every customer and our dealers who have helped us to reach this milestone”.
No doubt the fact that Chery vehicles offer a high level of luxury, comfort and performance at an extremely competitive price has to be one of the main reasons why South Africans are choosing a Chery. Launching in SA with the Chery Tiggo Pro ranges also couldn’t have hurt, as the SUV has played a pivotal role in driving Chery’s global success, specifically, the Tiggo 7 Pro. Furthermore, compared to other SUVs on the market the Chery Tiggo Pro models are great value for money, coming in a lot less pricey than many of its competitors. Other cars in this range are the Hyundai Venue, Volkswagen T-Cross, Renault Kiger, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Haval Jolion and Suzuki Vitara Brezza to name a few.
Value Added Service Raises The Bar
But the brand did not rely on the Tiggo’s success alone according to Liu. Instead as part of their marketing strategy, they offered additional value-added services to current and future customers, which has allowed them to go the extra mile.
This includes offers to customers of generous service and maintenance plans, as well as a standard 1-million-kilometre/10-year engine warranty! This warranty is unmatched by any other vehicle brand outside of the Chery Group.
Recently the brand also launched the My Chery Cares and Chery Extender offer, which allows new and existing owners of Chery Tiggo Pro models to extend their service plan, convert their service plan into a full maintenance plan or extend their mechanical warranty. The Chery Extender range of products was developed by Chery South Africa and Absa, and it carries the full endorsement and support of Chery and its dealer network.
Another win for Chery is its after-sales service, which is high on the brand’s list of priorities. Part of their value proposition is a larger parts distribution warehouse, which was opened in Boksburg, Gauteng, so that customers always have access to parts timeously.
